Bethesda Memorial Hospital activates additional modules of Landacorp's Maxsys II management software

Chico, Calif. (March 6, 2008) – Landacorp, a SHPS company, today announced the activation of its eM2 solution at Bethesda Memorial Hospital of Boynton Beach, Fla. eM2 is the companion software to Landacorp’s Maxsys II medical management software that includes the web-based online risk incident report form. A Landacorp client since 1998, Bethesda Memorial Hospital currently uses the case, quality and risk management modules of Maxsys II.

Maxsys II is a medical management software product used by healthcare providers to deliver up-to-date, accurate patient demographic records. It monitors each department’s actions in real-time and attaches all relevant episode information to the patient so staff members have the most current information available at all times for reporting and analysis. Administrative staff, medical staff, nurses and physicians use Maxsys II in support of care, utilization, quality and risk management programs, process improvement initiatives and provider credentialing processes. With modules that can be licensed individually or together, Maxsys II can evolve and expand to support ever-changing customer needs.

The Maxsys II software system enables Bethesda to have timely access to patient information, helping us to respond more efficiently and ensure that our patients receive quality health services in a caring manner,” said Robert B. Hill, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bethesda Healthcare System.

The flagship of the Bethesda Healthcare System, Bethesda Memorial Hospital is a fully accredited, 401-bed, not-for-profit hospital that has served southern Palm Beach County since 1959. With more than 40 areas of specialty including comprehensive cardiovascular and open heart services, and a hospital staff of more than 2,300 employees, Bethesda pursues its mission to provide quality health services in a caring manner.

“We’re pleased to announce an expansion of our ongoing partnership with Bethesda Memorial Hospital,” said Jay Dunlap, Landacorp’s general manager. “The implementation of the eM2 web portal demonstrates how Maxsys II can grow and expand as an organization evolves.”
