Louisville, Ky. (November 18, 2009) – SHPS announced today that it has earned re-accreditation for its Carewise® Health consumer education and support program from URAC, a Washington, DC-based healthcare accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the healthcare industry.

“We were the first organization to achieve the consumer education and support accreditation back in 2005, and this re-accreditation from URAC demonstrates our ongoing commitment to consumer education” said Rishabh Mehrotra, president and CEO of SHPS. “URAC accreditation is critical to the success of our Carewise Health program, and it reinforces our mission to create person-centric healthcare programs.”

SHPS provides employee health solutions through its Carewise Health brand. By combining multiple health management services into one holistic program, Carewise Health is able to co-manage all of the lifestyle and clinical issues that affect a person’s health. The consumer education and support standards accreditation is effective through October, 2012.
